Who are the Major Golf Champions

Major Golf Champions

Current Champions

The current major champions are: Zach Johnson who won The Masters with a 1 over par total score on one of the toughest Augusta National set ups: Ángel Cabrera became only the second Argentine to win a major in taking the US Open title; this followed 40 years after Roberto DeVicenzo's Open win in 1967: Pádraig Harrington is the first Irishman to win a major with his thrilling capture of the Britsh Open at Carnoustie: and that man Tiger Woods took his 13th major title with his 4th US PGA win and his second back-to-back success in this tournament.

Next year holds great hopes for further European success with the likes of Rose, Garcia, Casey and of course Harrington himself showing improved form in 2007. The challenege to America's dominace will continue from Europe, and particularly the rest of the world, which all makes for a feast of competitive golf to look forward to in 2008.
